Project Description:
a) This project initiated in 2018 for Phase 1 and successfully completed in 2023 for Phase 4. This extensive project involved the retrofitting of outdoor lighting systems, with a focus on
b) Phase 1 (2018-2019): Commenced with the initial assessment and retrofitting of street lighting along the mainline of the highway.
c) Phase 2 (2019-2020): Focused on upgrading lighting systems at toll plazas and mainline. This phase included the replacement of conventional lighting with energy-efficient LED.
d) Phase 3 (2020-2021): Focused on Northern Region from Hutan Kampung to Ipoh Utara. Expanded to highmast lighting, street lighting and rest areas along the highway.
e) Phase 4 (2022-2023): This phase focused on optimizing the lighting at Central Region from Ipoh Selatan to Nilai.
